You love the job, love the work, but, man, sitting most of the day can really do a number on your body. Most would think that sitting in an office chair would be easy, relaxing even, but you know. The achy back, tight knees, wrists and forearms that pulse after a day of non-stop typing and writing. When the work day is over, you get in your car to sit some more.

Yoga has helped people reduce stress, improve their posture, and clear their minds. After a long work day, that sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Let these Yoga poses rejuvenate your body and reduce tension in your mind and body.
Downward Dog
One pose that will always stretch your muscles and soothe your body is Downward Dog. This powerful pose stretches your legs and back, opens your shoulders, and pulls your hamstrings. After a day of sitting, Downward-Facing Dog will open your body and mind. Improve your circulation and feel a burst of energy.
To properly execute Downward Dog, put your feet at the bottom of your mat, toes forward. Keep your core tucked tight as you turn your body into an inward V-shape.
Mountain Pose
Your body possesses power that you may not even realise. Tap into that power with the simple, yet full-body Mountain Pose. A basic standing pose, Mountain Pose is posture-focused, strengthening and lengthening your back, opening your chest, and putting good pressure on your legs.
To tap into the power of the Mountain, stand on your mat, feet a few inches apart and reach for the sky. With your palms facing inward, relax your head and slowly bend backwards to stretch.
Bound Angle
You may remember this pose from elementary school, known as the Butterfly! The Bound angle packs a punch and really takes the stress off your body while strengthening. Easy to do and packed with benefits, the bound angle stretches your thighs and knees, relieving pressure and tension in your hips and lower back. This pose is perfect for all-day desk workers.
To do a Bound Angle, sit with your knees out at a comfortable angle and your back straight. Breathe deeply, relax your knees a little further towards the floor, and grasp your feet or ankles.
